Liesel Van Helsing found herself captured, surrounded by enemies, and without her allies. However, Arthur, believed to be dead, unexpectedly resurfaced, sparking a chaotic battle between humans and vampires.

Van Helsing: Vampire Hunter #3 brings the thrilling adventure to a climactic close as Liesel leads a rebellion against Lucy Westenra’s tyrannical rule. With the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, Liesel and her allies must confront the looming threat of the Doomsday weapon designed to blot out the sun.

What did we like about VAN HELSING: VAMPIRE HUNTER #3?

One of the standout aspects of this issue is the emotional depth portrayed in the characters, particularly Liesel Van Helsing. Writer Pat Shand humanizes the protagonists, presenting them with challenges that force them to confront their pain and evolve as individuals. The conflict with Lucy Westenra is expertly woven into the narrative, culminating in a satisfying resolution that brings closure to the story arc.

What didn’t we like about VAN HELSING: VAMPIRE HUNTER #3?

While the action-packed sequences and intense battles are gripping, the lack of detailed exposition regarding the Doomsday weapon is a notable drawback. Readers are left wanting more information about the weapon’s capabilities and the extent of Lucy’s plan. A deeper exploration of this plot point would have added greater weight and significance to the overall story.

How’s the Art?

Julia Pellegrini’s artwork shines in Van Helsing: Vampire Hunter #3, capturing the frenetic energy of the combat scenes with skillful precision. The action sequences are dynamic and visually engaging, drawing readers into the heart of the conflict. Despite some minor stiffness in character movements, Pellegrini delivers a solid performance that complements the narrative effectively.
