Is THUNDERCATS #3 Good?
Last time, the Thundercats explored Third Earth after a battle with Sly and his mutant army. They found a Thundercat aboard Slithe’s ship, a new character named Calica. While some, like Lion-O, were trusting, Panthro remained skeptical, sensing tension between them.
In Thundercats #3, tensions rise as Calica wanders the base, causing concern for Panthro. Lion-O’s encounters Snarf when his activation of the Sword Of Omens leads to the discovery of a pocket dimension filled with Thunderian artifacts. Meanwhile, Mumm-Ra tries to communicate with the spirit of Jaga. Later, Cheetara challenges to Panthro to a dramatic single combat to settle a dispute, revealing new dynamics among the Thundercats.
Snarf’s return adds depth to the story, while the pocket dimension introduces intriguing possibilities. The fight between Panthro and Cheetara showcases their skills and character development. The mystery surrounding Jaga and Mumm-Ra adds an extra layer of intrigue.

What did we like about THUNDERCATS #3?
The action-packed story, character developments, and introduction of familiar elements like Snarf make this issue engaging. The fight scenes are well-executed, and the exploration of Thunderian lore adds depth to the series.
What didn’t we like about THUNDERCATS #3?
The subplot involving Slithe feels somewhat disconnected from the main story and lacks cohesion. Additionally, while the art is serviceable, it lacks the dynamic quality found in other comics.
How’s the Art?
Drew Moss’s art style offers unique interpretations of the characters, but some may find it a bit blocky. While the characters are recognizable, the art lacks the fluidity and dynamism seen in other comics.
Final Thoughts

THUNDERCATS #3 offers a mix of action and story development, with the return of Snarf adding to the overall experience. However, the subplot involving Slithe feels tacked on, and the art, while not terrible, could be more dynamic.
