Was It Good?
It was good but a little unsatisfying. Why? Because now we want to know a whole lot more about the Wieroo.
In all seriousness, this was a good issue and a fine capper to the arc. The story sets up a deadly chase with plenty of dangerous pitfalls and plot twists. The resolution is not an easy one, and the writing here demonstrates how you can end an arc by earning it.

The art is also very good in this issue. Specifically, the Wieroo are creepy, malevolent, and almost alien-looking. Creepy character designs combined with dynamic action and breakneck pace make for riveting storytelling.

What’s It About?
[SPOILERS AHEAD – Click here if you just want the score without spoilers]
We pick up with the cliffhanger from the previous issue with Virginia being carried away by a winged, humanoid nightmare. Read our THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT: FEARLESS #2 review to see how we got into this mess.
Co-tan informs Tyler the winged humanoid with alien eyes is called a Wieroo. These creatures regularly kidnap women of the assorted tribes on the island for breeding, and Virginia has become a special prize due to her uniquely blonde hair.
Tyler takes aim with his pistol but can’t get a clear shot. Fortunately, Co-tan hits Virginia’s captor with a perfect spear throw. But before Virginia hits the ground, several more Wieroo swoop in to snatch her up.
Tyler takes aim again and succeeds in damaging the wing of Virginia’s second captor. They’re still flying but slow enough for Tyler and Co-tan to pursue on foot.
When we shift focus to Virginia, we see her engaging in a contest of wits against her captor. She threatens to stab her with his knife to bring them down. He threatens to drop her over a pack of hungry raptors if she doesn’t drop the knife. Concluding it’s better to live and find another opportunity to escape, Virginia drops the knife to the jungle below.
Soon, the Wieroo’s gunshot wound to his wing makes it too difficult to fly, and he sets down with Virginia near a superheated patch of land that thinly covers underground lava flows. The heat kills anything that stays too long and the two are surrounded on all sides by dinosaur bones.
Seizing her chance, Virginia grabs a dino bone as a club and attacks her captor. He’s stunned but regains his sense long enough to grab his own bone club and engage in a duel with Virginia. She holds her own just long enough for a tremendous triceratops, ridden by See-ta, to barrel through their fight and knock the Wieroo down.
We conclude the issue with See-ta making the Wieroo an offer he can’t refuse.
How Does It End?
The rarest fruit is sometimes the deadliest. Co-tan has a new sister. We take a trip to the future of Tyler and Virginia.
Final Thoughts
THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT: FEARLESS #3 combines fast-paced action with creepy character designs and a satisfying conclusion to the arc. The story feels finished but leaves just enough threads open to build curiosity for future adventures.
