Suicide Squad #1, cover B

SUICIDE SQUAD #1 Preview

Posted on February 25, 2021

Amanda Waller is getting the squad back together, but she needs a few heavy hitters on the team. While Peacemaker leads the new team into Arkham to recruit Talon, Waller is busy scouting out their next potential super team member, Connor Kent (???)

In this exclusive preview of SUICIDE SQUAD #1, available from DC Comics on March 2nd, 2021, building a take-no-prisoners squad under Peacemaker’s lethal leadership may be a lot more difficult than anyone thought.

Set your rifle scope on the DC preview images and read the full solicit description below.

This latest version of the Suicide Squad looks like it’s taking its cues from the film of the same name directed by James Gunn. Are you excited about the film? Let us know your thoughts in the Comments section, and please share this post on social media using the links below.

Things have changed for Task Force X. As Peacemaker takes over as field leader, there will be no more avenging or defending for the government’s top-secret task force of killers, thieves, and criminals! From the pages of Future State: Suicide Squad comes a new Suicide Squad ongoing series by Robbie Thompson, Eduardo Pansica, Julio Ferreira, Marcelo Maiolo, and Wes Abbott begins next Tuesday!

Amanda Waller—now back in control of the Squad—sends a new Squad into Arkham Asylum to “recruit” the deadly Court of Owls assassin Talon while she interviews another new candidate: Superboy.

Why Conner Kent? Amanda Waller is Tired. Of. Losing. Who else will Waller recruit for this new team of losers?

Suicide Squad #1 by Robbie Thompson (script), Eduardo Pansica (pencils), Julio Ferreira (inks), Marcelo Maiolo (color), and Wes Abbott (letters), with a Peacemaker variant cover by Gerald Parel, hits shelves on March 2.
