I grew up with CRACKED! And MAD MAGAZINE. The works of cartoonist Don Martin were a staple in my house, and everyone knew who you meant when referring to Alfred E. Neuman. Those days are long gone, and it’s a shame that current generations are growing up without these foundations of humor comics.
Thankfully, Source Point Press is on a mission to bring back what made those publications great. On March 31st, Source Point Press is launching SPACED OUT to poke fun at pop culture and put a smile on your face at the same time.
Lead by Lou Mougin and Brian Dunphy in the first issue, the magazine will start with satirical versions of pop culture mainstays from the 1960’s and mover forward from there. Says Dunphy about the new series:
I think we put together a little book that can be appreciated by casual comic book fans of all ages; fans of satire, pop culture aficionados, people of different backgrounds and political leanings can all hopefully find something to laugh about in these stories.
Brian Dunphy
