Was It Good?
Yes. It was very good.
The story continues to flesh out the new status quo since Deku left U.A. school several months ago. He’s operating in the shadows (metaphorically speaking) to zip into a situation, save the day, and zip out again before anyone can say so much as a thank you. The whole MHA world has fully shifted into a constant stream of fighting villains and rescuing the innocent, regardless of how big or small the situation.
What’s It About?
[SPOILERS AHEAD]
A woman with an unusual quirk that makes her look like a giant kangaroo is under attack from a gang of humans who fear she’s a monster. Deku zips in to protect the woman, not with fists but with calming words that diffuse the situation. As with the previous, most recent issue, Deku is demonstrating nobility and maturity well beyond his years.

During a nighttime breather atop a tower, Deku consults with the remnants on his next steps in rounding up villains and capturing All for One. We learn the police are overwhelmed with criminals since the prisons were destroyed, and nobody is left besides Deku’s handful of comrades to find All for One and Shigaraki. There’s no choice but to keep fighting and searching.
Cut to a flashback inside the One for All realm during the time when Deku was unconscious after his fight with Shigaraki. The remnants argue over whether or not Deku is the right vessel to defeat All for One because Deku believes everyone is worth saving.
Yoichi (All for One’s brother) reminds them that if he was destroyed because of his associations… if he wasn’t given the chance… One for All would never have been passed down and the world would already be under his brother’s control.

The conversation is interesting because it shows that even within this realm that contains remnants of former heroes who carried the mantle, Deku is still the best of them because he leads by example.
Eventually, the remnants agree Deku is the right vessel at the right time to defeat All for One.
How Does It End?
Deku recovers his strength with a special treat. The remnants band together. “Things are bound to move more quickly from here on out.”
Final Thoughts
MY HERO ACADEMIA CH. 310, available from Weekly Shonen Jump on April 25th, 2021, combines some quick action and serious philosophical conversations to show that Deku is selfless beyond his years and everyone is working together to support him. It’s a brilliant case study on becoming a hero on an individual level, and also, it demonstrates how nobody gets there alone.
