Is It Good?
MAN GOAT & THE BUNNYMAN: GREEN EGGS & BLAM! #2 is the weirdest buddy cop adventure you never knew existed, and that’s a compliment. Floyd stormed off at the end of the last issue, and now we catch up with him on his quest to find his long-lost father. Phil, Rachel, and the gang have already figured out Floyd won’t like the answers he finds, and set off to save him.
The highlight of the issue is the wild, imaginative, slightly saucy fun Brusha builds into the story. This is a fantasy version of our world where any cryptid you could imagine is real and possibly living next door. The setup makes for a surreal adventure that shouldn’t make sense, but it does because Brusha took the time to build a world you could believe exists with characters who have a genuine heart and brotherly affection for one another, even when they argue.
The second bright spot is the number of stakes and true threats Floyd encounters when his search comes to its end. Despite the surreal characters, Floyd and his friends are genuine people, and when their hearts are broken or their lives are threatened, you can immediately empathize with them. Brusha gets the reader emotionally invested in these characters, and that’s a powerful hook for any creator.
Enough can’t be said about Tarragona andPeryra on art. The lines are detailed and sharp, the colors are layered and vibrant, and the panel composition is designed for peak drama. This isn’t just one of the better-looking books from Zenescope, this is one of the better-looking books on the market.

Find out how Phil and Floyd got to bickering and put them on this adventure in our MAN GOAT & THE BUNNYMAN: GREEN EGGS & BLAM! #1 review.
We begin with Rachel (Floyd’s adoptive mother) and Jill (Floyd’s on-again-off-again girlfriend) arriving at the cabin. Phil tells them Floyd stormed off to find his father now that he knows he’s possibly still alive. Phil believes he’s headed back to Rachel’s place, and she worries that Floyd will find information about his past that will put him in danger.
Meanwhile, Floyd and Jack, aka Jackalope, fight off the giant were-beasts in Rachel’s old lab. The were-beasts are bigger and stronger, but Jack goes into a rage fit and whips out superior firepower to drive the beasts back long enough to escape. In the chaos, Floyd makes off with a box containing secret information.
Later, Jack and Floyd rest off the grid at a truck stop where Floyd reviews the files he recovered. They show his father being experimented on and tortured at the hands of Dr. Jackendoff. Jack and Floy set off to Dr. Jackendoff’s research facility for answers.
We conclude the issue with a happy reunion, a party, and the request for “samples.”
