Is It Good?
Give THE LIVING CORPSE: RELICS #6 bonus points for pure imagination and epic storytelling. This is one heck of an earth-shaking finale to a banger of a series.
When last we left John and his friends, they realized too late the Creep had deceived them into killing Asteroth, not realizing that Asteroth’s life holds the multiverse together. Now, the team splits as John fights the Creep while Frank frantically tries to save Asteroth.
The absolute peak positive of this issue is the sheer scale and scope of the finale. All worlds are on the brink of collapse, and Haeser cranks up the urgency in every scene. Through the catastrophic developments, you can see the true struggle in Lilith, whose not convinced the world ending is such a bad thing, in John, who has someone worth fighting for, and in Frank, trying to save a dying angel with an arrow aimed at his back. The scope of the story feels massive, but every player has a personal moment that sells the importance of the outcome at a human level.
As always, the art by Haeser, Hasson, and Smith is a perfect partnership in this issue. The character designs are memorable, Smith’s use of color shading is deceptively nuanced, and the action is bonkers.

What’s It About?

Catch up on the BIG mistake made by John and the gang in our THE LIVING CORPSE: RELICS #5 review.
We begin with John and the Creep fighting their way through limbo. John dragged the Creep out of the physical plane hoping to get the Creep far enough away from Astertoth to give Frank time to save the angel’s life. Meanwhile, Lilith trains her crossbow on Frank when she realizes that the hurt and pain of life would all go away if the angel dies.
John and Creep emerge from limbo near the Manosatery, and John manages to toss the Creep into a camp of angry Yetis to buy him some time to get help. John makes it to the Monastery in time to enlist Brother Naga and the others for help before Creep can tear apart the Yetis and follow John to retrieve the spear.
Creep raises an army of the dead from deceased monks to keep John’s allies occupied while Creep chases John into the catacombs. They finally meet in a life-or-death struggle for the fate of the Earth. We conclude the issue with conveniently located Kundalini, new powers, and new life.

How do you become a zombie?
The methods by which somebody becomes a zombie depend on the type of zombie. An undead, flesh-eating zombie is created either through infection from a zombie-making chemical or germ or through the transmission of said chemical or germ by the bite of another zombie. Voodoo zombies are technically still alive but brought under the control of a master through the ingestion of a mind-control substance.
