Is It Good?
THE BOOGYMAN #6 has one massive, glaring flaw that sets it apart from every spectacular issue in this series – it ended too soon! Yes, you should appreciate stories with a beginning, middle, and end, but that doesn’t mean we can’t hunger for more. That’s what a good story does – leave you wanting more.
This is it. THE BOOGYMAN #6 is the grand finale of this emotionally poignant and supernaturally captivating story about an unlikely kinship between a boy and his Boogyman. Salvia absolutely sticks the landing by unleashing Father Death’s full force against his hunters while the natural world converges on their location. This finale is the most action-packed of the series (and the lightest on the dialog), Salvia smartly focuses all the built-up tension from the preceding issues into a climax that pays off the wait.
When the issue draws to a close, we get a peak into the future. As much as the extended action sequence pays off the built-up tension, the final pages pay off Elliot’s emotional journey twice as much. Get ready to hold back big, ugly tears because it’s worth every panel.
Just as much credit goes to Djet’s phenomenal art. Again, this is an action-heavy issue, so Djet has a chance to flex action muscles with kicks, punches, body throws, and bloody damage. The final fight is an all-out brawl for survival, and the fight will have you on the edge of your seat.

Check out our THE BOOGYMAN #5 review to find out how Elliot and Father Death found themselves surrounded.
We begin with the police pulling up to the rundown motel where Elliot and Father Death make their last stand. Little Sisters fly in all directions, and dead Boogymen fall from open windows to the street below. The police don’t see or hear a thing.
When the police enter the building they search every hallway and every room to look for Elliot and his parents’ killer. Meanwhile, a titanic brawl goes on all around the police as Father Death stands alone against the new Boogymen intent on taking his power and abolishing the laws of survival.
We conclude the issue with death, acceptance, and more death.
