Freak Snow #1, Pantazis cover(featured)

Behemoth and Dimitris Pantazis Donate Profits to Hero Initiative

Posted on March 8, 2021

There’s an awful lot of nonsense in the world these days, so it’s a welcome treat when we see comics publishers and creators dedicate themselves toward doing something special.

Today, we received the official press release that Behemoth Comics and artist Dimitris Pantazis will be donating all profits from Pantazis’ cover of their forthcoming title, Freak Snow #1, to the Hero Initiative.

For those who don’t know, Hero Initiative is a foundation set up to provide aid to comics creators who’ve fallen on hard times, some of which are considered legends in the industry. These creators have given the world decades of fun and imagination, so it’s a worthy cause for the Comics Industry to take care of their own.

Take a gander at the special cover below. If you’re interested in the title from Behemoth, ask your LCS to order this variant to get a great title and give something back to those who’ve given the world so much. Also, make sure to read the full Behemoth press release below for all the details and ordering code.

Behemoth Comics’s Freak Snow #1 is giving his profit to the Hero Initiative Charity.

Freak Snow #1 is the first release of Happy Tank, the new imprint of Behemoth Comics, which was launched publicly last month. They start in a heartfelt way in the Current March Previews by dedicating the profits of Freak Snow #1 – cover C by Dimitris Pantazis to the charity Hero Initiative.

The Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for comic creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work.

If you want to support the initiative the Diamond Order Code of the cover is MAR211145.

‘’Now that I’m publishing, it’s important for me to start by giving back to those who made comics my passion, those who drove me for years to get into this position. I think there was no better way than raising money for the Hero Initiative, which is helping out creators that have all inspired us with their craft.’’ – Kevin Roditeli (Happy Tank Publisher / Freak Snow Creator)

Happy Tank is encouraging retailers to jump into the charity event with them by giving an Exclusive cover for FREE to the retailers who will sell the most numbers of copies.

They are also giving a Sketch by artist Rob Cannon to the customer who purchases the biggest amount of copies at a registered retailer.
