Is BAD OMENS: CONCRETE JUNGLE #1 Good?
BAD OMENS: CONCRETE JUNGLE #1 centers around a gang named “Bad Omens.” They’re locked in a turf war with their rivals, the “Atomic 6” crime syndicate. The battleground? A priceless art museum This museum houses a billion-dollar collection of classic and modern art.
The Bad Omens, being the bold bunch they are, claim the museum is in their territory. The current owner, who happens to be part of the Atomic 6, offers them a deal. To avoid bloodshed, the Bad Omens have to guess the market value of some artworks within $10,000. If they do, they can take whatever fits that price range. Sounds easy? Well, surprise, surprise – it’s a trap! The Atomic 6 ambush them with gunfire, booby traps, and the whole nine yards. Things get messy fast.
This comic doesn’t hold back on the action, but the plot’s still a little thin. However, what’s interesting is that they actually depict real-life, iconic works of art within the fictional museum. Adds a touch of reality to the madness!
What we liked about BAD OMENS: CONCRETE JUNGLE #1
First off, if you’re into manga aesthetics, the art style might grab you. It’s not a heavy cyberpunk vibe, more like a cool, futuristic edge. Then there’s the whole clashing gang situation – each gang’s got a unique look, a distinct tech style. Gives it that raw, Clockwork Orange feel, even if the graphic violence is toned down.
What we didn’t like about BAD OMENS: CONCRETE JUNGLE #1
The story lacks depth at this point. We’re thrown into a brawl, but there’s not much setup. It’s unclear why the gangs are so obsessed with the museum, or what they’d even do with priceless masterpieces that are basically impossible to sell. The whole “billions of dollars!” thing is cool, but lacks practical motivation.
Art Quality
Manga-inspired, with a focus on black, white, and red. The occasional panels saturated entirely in red or blue add a certain moodiness to the visuals. The most unique touch is how the creators use onomatopoeia (sound effects) to enhance the storytelling. It’s a fun touch, even if a bit unconventional.

Final Thoughts
(Click this link 👇 to order this comic)
BAD OMENS: CONCRETE JUNGLE #1 is a wild mix of cyberpunk, manga, and a classic gang rivalry. The concept is intriguing, but the missing ‘why’ makes it hard to fully get hooked. The art’s the real star – not groundbreaking, but the quirky details make it stand out.
